Full Version: Alarm Clocks?

What are the best waking devices for the deaf and hard of hearing? I've been looking at alarm clocks that use vibrations as the main stimulus.
Has anyone used such products? Do they work? What are the advantages and disadvantages of particular ones ( I've seen pads that go under the pillow and watch style versions).

Really need information.

Thanks.

It depends on the person, how hard they sleep, etc. I always use the kind with flashing light. You do not need a special lamp, you can use your regular bedside lamp.

I use the sonic boom alarm clock, it vibrates the bed and flashes a lamp on and off, it also beeps (doesn't really matter for me though). It works pretty well, and it has a large clock display so it's easy to see what time it is. I think it's from soundbytes.
