I looked up "hearing aid" on EBay.com and found this very interesting piece. This is a "hearing aid watch"....but it doesn't look the same as Phonak's (Phonak sells watches with a volume control and an hearing aid for the ear). This one obviously uses a plug in ear piece like a Walkman.

LP, is this legitimate? Just wondering....and I wonder what the rest of you are thinking when you see this "hearing aid". smile.gif

Here's another ad in the same category (the recent one will be bidded in 1 minute -- this one is 4 hours) of the same watch:

Again, Nancy, this is in the same category as the HA for hunting. Just something intended for those with normal hearing or mild hearing loss so that they can evesdrop on conversations (not unlike up-skirting for cellphone cams..).

I understand that the FDA does not regulate what can or cannot be called a hearing aid. However, I do know that states regulate the dispensing and fitting of what we know as HA's in the proper sense.
