QUOTE (Linden @ Jun 3 2004, 11:21 AM)
I am still in shock from finding this. My minds spins out ... OMG, could there be a BlindWannabe group? an Amputeewannabe group? the possibilities are ... very very creepy. (IMG:http://www.deafonline2.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/vertag.gif)

linden, i heard a rumor. not sure if it's true but i heard that in india, some people deliberately cut off their legs so they can beg for money on the streets?

if it's true, then they are amputee wannabes.

Gewd Gawd, some people are so ignorant and thick there in Deaf Wannabees, I'm actually telling this guy "andy c" about Deaf people and their accomplishments. The fact hearing people mock Deaf people by using a hearing aid to pass themselves off as HoH belittles us and our accomplishments. This guy doesn't get it and asks me to get a dictionary! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Deaf-Wannabee/messages My sn is pdelafranier in the message board.

Is he thick or what?! (IMG:http://www.deafonline2.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I am still trying to find that amputee fetish phenomenon in the UK, but I seem to cannot find it. The guy really, really wanted his left leg removed so he froze it until it came to the point where it had to be amputated. He did it when he was about 50 years old, something he's always wanted to do all his life and was finally able to accomplish that.

we all can't read the message board because it is private and require membership to view it. and most of us are not going to join this message board to view it.. so no point in giving us the url and giving us your sn so we can follow it. really
