I was telling Miz Lantana about these slacks I got from Target that have elastic waistband and the material is so soft and chiffony-like. Ahhh so nice and I just love wearing them. We talked about going to a fabric store and seeing if there is a pattern and find someone to make more for me.

It is not often that I find something that comfy. It is soooo hard to shop for clothes IMO!

Have you ever found an item of clothing that you just love?

I love those corduroy short-shorts for guys. They were so popular in the 70's, when made by Ocean Pacific (OP - the preferred brand of surfer stuff everywhere back then). I found some at Walmart just before Christmas and asked Santa for some. Well, I must've been a gooooooooooooooood boy, cuz I got 6 of 'em!! Well, I love my Birkies. You can wear them with or without socks, which is appropriate for the weather we have here in the Pacific Northwest. And I love wearing VESTS in the winter time instead of a heavy coat. They are much more comfortable to drive in. And oh, those handy pockets! I collect zipper pulls to put on my vests, too.

Target is fantastic, I agree. That store is so cheerful and bright, and makes you want to buy!

I also love "Wallace Berry" shirts, the long sleeved kind with buttons part of the way down the front. They look great with vests and there are so many different patterns and colors!

I love to shop at Target especially for the grandkids' clothes. Target has plenty of parking spaces and it's not so crowded like at Wal-Mart. I have to drive to Tulsa to go to Target which takes me about 45 minutes but it's worth it. The SuperWal-mart in my town is so crowded and they do have a huge parking lot but it's always full unless you go between 10 pm-7am. and it's only 20 minutes drive. I want Target in my town!!! Right now, I'm between sizes and I just can't find anything to fit nice on me yet. So, I'm back to walking 2-3 miles a day to try to lose more weight. Anyway, Target is a nice place to go shopping for just about anything.

Ohhhh I loved Ocean Pacific while living in Florida. Their clothes were sooo cool and a wee bit pricey. I still remember that unfamiliar yet distinct smell - not bad just smelt of a mysterious beach.

Target is near my house and so is Walmart, but I am kind of biased against Walmart. Target is more of my personality than Walmart (Walmart is too depressing for me).

While shopping recently for school clothes my DD tried on a few pairs of jeans that I guess you call them low riders. We had hip huggers or jeans a little higher than low riders. I remember wearing a pair of flaired jeans that buttoned in the front instead of the zipper. In the fall or winter I loved wearing turtlenecks with the jeans. Later I started buying Levis straight legged jeans and have ever since.

Back then I lived in Florida as a teen and selecting a bathing suit was serious business! (IMG:http://www.deafonline2.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) It was always two pieced and had to have at least two inch sides to the bottom half and that was MY preference not my mothers!. I loved all of them.

Ha Ha Ha , Mark! It's just unbelievable that low-riders jeans are so popular! Oh yeah, and the tops are either knits or delicate fabrics and very short and flimsy. Ugh!

I didn't go to the boys or young men dept. to see if they have low-riders. Gosh, I hope not! Baggy jeans were really bad!!! (IMG:http://www.deafonline2.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

I also like to shop toys for my grandkids but Target don't carry many toys. I usually go to Toys R Us but man, I stayed too long as there are so many toys and games and more!!! (IMG:http://www.deafonline2.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I love my Tommy Girl jeans. And I practically live in my CRB jeans, they feel like they were made specifically for my body. I don't mind wearing low-riders as long as they're not tooooooo low, but some of those out there *cough*GasolineJeans*cough* are so insanely low they should be illegal.
